Mariam Foundation CEO Mohamed Hamed in Gaza : “The suffering of cancer patients and children in Gaza must stop”.
After years of work and dedication in Gaza: Mohammad Hamed, CEO & Founder of Mariam Foundation marks his first visit to Gaza, where he visited our partners in Gaza and researched new partnerships and cooperations that will benefit the Gazan cancer patient and get him the best medical and financial care possible.
A new center for cancer care is being built in Gaza in partnership with our partners the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem and Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza, where it will offer cancer patients daily care and to facilitate their transfer to hospitals out of Gaza, as well as building new partnerships and ambassadors from many organizations that take care of cancer patients. During his visit, Hamed visited cancer patients and their families whom the foundation has accompanied for many years, those cancer patients that overcome cancer.
From Gaza, Hamed stated that: “Securing medical rights and treatments for cancer patients is not a luxury, it’s a basic human right, the children and cancer patients from Gaza deserve the best care and treatment available, all the means of comfort and easing the bureaucratic procedures cancer patients face while going for treatment inside or outside of Gaza.” Also, he stressed that:” Mariam Foundation will embrace all the foundations working in battling cancer in Gaza as well as the medical specialists there to ensure a better life for the Gazan population and cancer patients in Gaza.”
