Becoming a yearly tradition, Mariam Foundation held its annual Christmas concert in the Notre dame of Jerusalem attended by a wide audience and many notable and religious figures. Notre Dame is yet another stop in the Mariam Angels Christmas tour starting from Bethlehem at the Church of Nativity and ending at the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth.
The event was hosted by Ruba Warwar who thanked the local audience and the global audience watching the event via livestream. Afterwards, CEO and founder Mohammad Hamed thanked the amazing crowd and shared words of love and gratitude to everyone believing and supporting Mariam Foundation’s cause and journey, citing the social importance and duty of supporting children cancer patients, especially at this time of year.
In a special welcoming speech, Father David Steffy carried his welcome speech and praised Mariam Foundation’s journey and efforts in supporting cancer patients, stressing the importance of persistency and determination in conveying the message of Mariam Foundation and the symbolic meaning of it during Christmas.
Afterwards, Archbishop Attallah Hanna welcomed the crowd and thanked Mariam Foundation for all the support they give cancer patients and for spreading cancer awareness.
As a part of a daily partnership and being a part of Mariam Foundation’s journey in supporting cancer patients in Gaza and the West Bank, Mr. Waleed Nammour, CEO of Augusta Victoria Hospital carried his speech and stressed the importance of Mariam Foundation’s efforts and projects support cancer patients, and crucial role of conveying the message of the foundation to everyone. And for that, Mariam Foundation honored Mr. Nammour with the highest honorary award “Mariam Award” as a gratitude for his efforts and journey in the fight against cancer.

Afterwards, the audience was presented a great show by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra lead by the Maestro Nizar Al Khater, with singers Nour Darwish, Maria Jubran, Mervat Ashqar and Cann. Foad Dagher, presenting great musical interludes that carry the message of Christmas and going along with this sacred place, Jerusalem. The message of love and compassion that Christmas carries to the whole world. And in that way, Mariam Foundation has delivered the message of Christmas to everyone suffering from cancer, and to all the world watching the live stream, a message of hope and support.
