A great atmosphere and huge success:
Mariam Foundation celebrates its “Mariam Superheroes” Project with More than 70
children from Gaza and West Bank.
In cooperation with Augusta Victoria Hospital, Mariam Foundation ran its Mariam Superheroes project for the first time in the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem. Participants were present or past children cancer patients, who pick their favorite superhero costume, get a special makeup, and have a special fun photoshoot in the hospital, in fun, supportive and positive atmosphere.
The goal of this project is empowering
young children who are fighting cancer, who are not less brave than any
superhero, giving them the courage and hope to continue fighting cancer with a
smile.
Also, Mariam Foundation has launched
its first Arabic children’s about cancer in the Augusta Victoria Hospital’s
hall, Namour The Young Hero. Hosted by the talented media personality Ruba
Warwar, the conference included warm welcoming words by Mr. Walid Namour, the hospital’s CEO, Mohammad
Hamed, CEO and Founder of Mariam Foundation as well as from the writer Dr. Jawdat
Eid, who spoke about the role of the story in offering emotional support for
the child, painting a picture he can relate his reality to, and to keep on
fighting cancer.
We would like
to thank everyone involved in making this special event happen: The foundation’s
staff and volunteers, Fozi Mozi’s team who put a smile on the children’s faces,
and a special thanks goes to the Augusta Victoria Hospital for the warm welcome
and the great cooperation, which is only the start for greater future projects in
fighting cancer.
