Mariam Joy offers daily companions for child cancer patients in hospitals. The companions are university students who receive a scholarship for their activity. Also, they receive professional training in the foundation to further extend their knowledge and capabilities. Child patients face various difficulties during their prolonged stay in hospitals. We believe that every patient has the right not to be alone and face the disease alone, especially children. Therefore, such program offers a solution and aids children in fighting the disease. Currently, there are more than 15 companions in Rambam Hospital, with a vision of expanding this program to more and more hospitals.
